'Dye Your Fade' with Jeanne Stevenson, the expert dyer behind Destination Yarn!
Yarnbyrds will be hosting two, 1-day 'Dye Your Fade' retreats with Jeanne Stevenson on October 21 OR October 22. At this full day dye retreat, Jeanne will help you mix dyes and speckles to create 6 full skeins of yarn that fade perfectly from one to the next. To allow for individual guidance, only 8 seats are available each day...plus that is how many burners we have in the classroom!
Registration will open at 9:30. Coffee, tea and croissants will be available. Lunch will be on your own from 12:00 - 1:00. There are lots of great restaurants and fast food nearby or you can brown bag it and hang out at the picnic table!
Throughout the day as you are dyeing your fade there will be some down time while the yarn is cooking, cooling, drying, etc. so please bring your wips to work on and any finished projects for show and tell. Destination Yarn Pop-Up Shop and Birdie will be open for shopping and petting!
So...what will you get out of this class? Worksheets, 6 skeins of yarn, undivided attention and instruction from an expert, fun, friends and your very own custom dyed Fade!
p.s. wear your grubbies or bring an apron!
p.s.s. Yes, we know this is also the same weekend as Rhinebeck, but just think of the money you will be saving by coming the The Nest!
The workshop will be held at "The Nest" which is located on 8 secluded acres near Easton Town Center, 4955 Sunbury Road, Gahanna, Ohio (just north of Morse Rd, directly after the Lamb of God Lutheran Church). Follow the somewhat white fencing to the back of the property. If you wish to make a weekend of it, nearby hotels are the Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, Hilton Columbus, Courtyard by Marriott and probably a few others, just Google it!
To book your seat, please go to the "Classes and Workshops" tab above, choose Saturday, October 21 or Sunday, October 22....you have to click on the 10:00 time slot, hit the join button and then make your payment. If you get stuck, just call me at 614-315-5226.
Jeanne and I look forward to seeing you! Until then...
