Kimberly McAlindin of Knit a Rainbow is coming to The Nest,  Kimberly has spent the last 20 years as a professional in the industry. She is the former Editor-in-chief of Knit 1-2-3 and Crochet 1-2-3 magazines and has worked as a pattern designer for major yarn companies, magazines and books. She has been the technical expert of a knitting magazine and currently is self-publishing hand knit designs while traveling to yarns shops to teaching her classes.  I'm excited to welcome her to The Nest to teach (1) Embroidering Your Handknits (2) Finishing Techniques for Your Knitting and (3) Knit to Fit.

Embroidering Your Handknits

In this playful and creative class, you’ll learn how to add embroidery directly onto knit fabric using simple techniques that create stunning motifs, textures, and personal flair. No prior embroidery experience is needed - just bring your imagination and a knitted swatch!

Finishing Techniques for Your Knitting

Your knitting deserves a professional finish! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll demystify seams, blocking, weaving ends, button bands, necklines, and more. Learn step-by-step techniques that take your projects from “homemade” to handcrafted excellence!

Knit to Fit

Say goodbye to ill-fitting sweaters! This empowering class teaches you how to take accurate measurements, understand ease, and modify patterns so your knits fit the way YOU want them to. Perfect for sweater knitters looking to level up their skills and confidence.

Each class is 3 hours long.  A full class description will be emailed at time of registration.

The class fee is non-refundable. However, if Yarnbyrds or the instructor cancels the class, the fee will be refunded.  Please note that a snow date of March 14 & 15 has been scheduled if necessary.
